Embodying and Enabling Loving Responses to Our Predicament

(1:00 pm US Central Time Zone)

Leadership experiences and group facilitation methods will be shared from the international Deep Adaptation Forum, including simple formats and deep listening practices to support anxious and despairing people to process their feelings and find meaning in the “Predicament” of intertwined ecological and social breakdowns.

About the Speakers

Lisa Gordon

Lisa Gordon is a Canadian activist and organizer with a Masters of Environmental Studies and 40 years of service in agencies with conservation mandates. She currently volunteers with the Deep Adaptation Forum in operational roles and as a facilitator. Influences include Joanna Macy, Tara Brach and Pema Chodron. Her burning question about resilience is how a tender heart can co-exist with high levels of moral injury and political outrage.

Terry LePage

Rev. Dr. Terry LePage is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ and has worked as a transitional minister, hospice chaplain, and research chemist.  Her 2023 book Eye of the Storm: Facing climate and social chaos with calm and courage is based on her group facilitation work with the international Deep Adaptation Forum.  There she holds Zoom-based Grief Circles, Compassionate Communication groups, Death Cafes, and more.
